No Hot Water ?
With no hot water being produced by a natural gas system there are some things that you can check before calling us. First check to see if the pilot is lit on your natural gas heater. If the pilot is lit on, next check the thermostat. The thermostat should be set to a normal position. If the pilot is on and the thermostat is on the problem is going to need diagnosis by an expert Plumbing service.
If you have an electric heater, there are some things that need to be checked. First check the electrical panel to verify that the fuse or circuit breaker has not blown or become tripped. If your’s has it’s own disconnect box, verify that the disconnect lever is in the on position.
If it’s receiving electrical power check the thermostat to see that they are set at a normal heat setting. It is unlikely that someone has turned them way down, but it can happen.
The usual cause of this problem is a bad heating element. A bad thermostat could also be at fault.
Limited Hot Water
When a electric heater is producing only a small amount of hot water, the problem is usually the lower heating element. These elements become encrusted with mineral deposits and in time this reduces the effectiveness of the element. When a natural gas heater is producing only a small amount, the problem is usually the control valve. If the thermostat is set too low, it will not produce the adequate amount. Check the settings on the thermostats.
Too hot
Sometimes customers call in that the water being produced is too hot. This can be a simple problem to solve. Try turning the settings down on the thermostat this will usually correct the situation. If this does not correct the problem the thermostat will have to be replaced.

The noise is from the sediment that has accumulated. Water is trapped between the layers of sediment. When it’s temperature becomes hot enough, it explodes out of the layers.
